CURATORIAL AFFAIRS
A Journal for New Systems
As contemporary art criticism and research disappears from the media landscape, CURATORIAL AFFAIRS stands as a site for incisive and thought-provoking content.
It is the hope of the editors that the site can help foster a community of conceptually-driven writers to shape the future of both art writing and art itself. With few venues still engaging the kind of writing that was integral to the discourse surrounding art in the past, CURATORIAL AFFAIRS looks to assert itself as an outlet that recaptures that import, while reimagining what future art writing can be.
CURATORIAL AFFAIRS was founded in 2022 by Jacob Barnes and Morgane Wagner of GROVE. While the publication is not strictly independent from the gallery, it remains open to pitches not related to GROVE’s work.
